It was established by Sri Suman Sarkar, the Founder, the Director and the Head Mentor of the Institute. The sole vision of the academy is to educate, develop and inspire students to achieve their full musical potential and provide them the skills of life long enjoyment of music. Our aim is to make learning of all genres of music easy, accessible as well as exciting to people globally. We believe that learning music should be fun and open to all ages and abilities. In our academy you provide trainings in various departments of music starting from vocal to instrument playing etc. And alongside we also have department of dance, painting and recitation.

Our educators are highly qualified in their own field and share a love of teaching by imparting superior quality learning of music, art and culture through their modern day innovative techniques. Subhankar Bhaskar

Subhankar Bhaskar, (born on 20th October, 1975) started his musical career at the tender age of seven. He has taken his musical training under the inspiration and supervision of some musical legends like, Sri Nihar Ranjan Bandyopadhyay, Sri Adhir Bagchi, Smt. Utpala Goswami, Sri Debojyoti Ghosh, Sri Soumen Sarkar and his father, Sri Netai Bhaskar.

At the age of seven he was associated with Radio programme like Sishu Mahal, Galpa Dadur Ashor, Kishalaya, Barsho Purti of Akash Bani Kolkata. Subhankar has achieved Gold Medal in the year 1988 from A.B.T.A., Music Competition. He stood 1st Class 1st in Pre-degree, Rabindra Bharati Viswa Vidyalaya in 1993. He has been also rewarded Gold Medal along with Scholarship for Post-Degree three years and finished his M.A. in Music from Rabindra Bharati Viswa Vidyalaya. He got the first position in different categories of music like, Dwijendra Geeti, Najrul Geeti, Adhunik, Kirtan & Khayal in West Bengal, Rajjya Sangeet Academy in 1994, 1995 & 1996 respectively. SA THEKE SA (E-TV Bangla, 1999). He also got the Best Male Singer award in the Musical Competition Programme called Sa-Re-Ga-Ma co-ordinated by Zee Alpha Bangla.

Sreeradha Bandopadhyay

Sreeradha Bandopadhyay is a famous Bengali singer. She is famous for being a "Rabindrasangeet Shilpi" (Sings the songs written by Rabindranath Tagore). Mixing her emotions with her sweet voice she has successfully created a number of Rabindra sangeet albums. She has sung patriotic and modern songs also. She has duet albums also. She has been reigning in the music circuit for nearly 25 years! Considered to be an able successor of stalwarts like Arati Mukherjee and Haimanti Shukla in the world of playback singing, she has carved a niche of her own, exploiting her enviable vocal prowess, an extremely mellifluous voice and a rare ability to do justice to any genre of music; be it Bhajan, Rabindra Sangeet, Ghazal or Adhunik.

Jayati chakraborty

Jayati chakraborty is currently the most popular female singer in Bengal. Although an unparalleled exponent of rabindra sangeet, Jayati is equally adept and popular for her folk song renditions. Her music has won her accolades and mesmerized audiences transcending geographical boundaries. She has more than 20 solo albums and numerous assorted albums to her credit within a short time of launching her career as a singer. She has learnt music from stalwarts like Supriya Ghosh, Jatileswar Mukhopadhyay, Biman Mukhopadhyay, Subhas Chowdhury and Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty.

Arpita Dutta

Arpita Dutta working as a dance teacher at Kendriya Vidyalaya since 2011. She completed her M.A in Classical Dance from Rabindra Bharati University (Department) scoring first class first. She achieved many awards like the National Scholarship Holder from the ministry of Human Resource Dept.Govt of India (2003), singer Mani from Sur Singer Parisad in Mumbai (2008). She is also the impaneled artist of I.C.C.R. Some of her worth mentioning performances were the classical Musical Night (Ranchi),Allahabad Prayag Sangeet Samiti,Uday Shankar Festival organized by dance group federation,Rashtriya Kathak Sanstha(Lucknow),Puri Beach Festival,National Kharbela Festival (Khandgiri Bhubaneshwar),Uttarpara Sangeet Chakra (2009)and International Dance Festival in Bangkok by I.C.C.R.

Nandita Dutta Sengupta

Nandita Dutta Sengupta is a singer and a music teacher. She got her music teaching from teacher like-Panchali di, Disha Roy, Shakti Chatterjee, Adhir Bagchi, Rita Ganguly, Suman Sarkar. Her biggest achievements were the Nikhil Banga Sanskritik Protijogita 2015, Biswa Banga Saahitya o Sanskriti Sammelan 2017. She was the participant of Bharat Utsav and also participated in the workshop on Indian Music 2017.

Samita Das

Samita Das is a professional singer based in Indian classical music. She got hertalim under Shri Jayonto Sarkar for around 11years and also got her classes from Shri Kumar Mardurin(ITC )Kirana Gharana. Apart from this she also sings light music such as songs of Atul Prasad and Rajanikanto. Ghazal is also her favorite. Presently she is learning ghazal from Shri Baloo Dutta, a student of respected Ghazal king Ustad Ghulam AliJi. Perform in prasarvarati All India radio yuvabani in bhajan and atul prasad. She is a regular performer in Prashar Bharati All India Radio and yuvabani in bhajan and atul prasad. She also participated in Gaan sera Gaan ' organized by All India radio and secured 1st position, it was broadcast at FM gold and 'Sangeet and Narita'group b (2013) (2015) and got the 2nd prize in Bhajan in 2013.

Guru Sandip Mallick

Born in a family devoted to music, Sandip has started Kathak Dance Training under the pedagogy of Srimati Srilekha Mukherjee. Continuing the talim from his Guru, he also got in-depth “talim” from Pandit Birju Maharajji, Pandit Ram Mohan Mishra, Pandit Chitresh Das, Guru Bela Arnab, Guru Bandana Sen, Srimati Saswati Sen and Pandit Vijai Shankar, all luminaries in Indian Classical Dance scenario. He has also undergone “talim” of rhythm from Pandit Kumar Bose. Academically, a first-class Post Graduate in Dance from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata and Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from The University of Calcutta. Nritya Prabhakar, Visharad and Upadhaya (with Gold medal).

Sandip has performed in several dance festivals in India, some of which has been organized by the West Bengal State Music Academy, WBDGF, EZCC, ICCR, Sangeet Natak Academy (Sarnya Nritya Pratibha, 50 years of SNA) , Anamika Kala Sangam, Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Government of Andhra Pradesh, Kathak Kendra, New Delhi, Dover Lane Music Conference, Nattanjali2010 sponsored by SNA(Chidambarahm & Tirubaror),Virasat in Lucknow,,Nritya Bharati Pune,Guru purnima Festival Patna,Uday Shankar Dance Festival (3times solo, twice with group),Kalanand Nasik among others.

Supriyo dutta

SUPRIYO DUTTA, is considered a young maestro in Hindustani Vocal Classical music and has performed extensively in India as well as in the United States of America, Australia, Europe,Sri lanka etc.. He is trained under some of the finest and legendary icons of Indian classical music namely, Pandit Ramkrishna Basu(Indore gharana) , Padmashri & Sangeet Natak Academy Ratna awardee Pandit Vijay Kichlu & Vidushi Subhra Guha. He was a National Scholar under Ministry of Culture as a student and also a recipient of many Gold Medals; Bijon Ghosh Dastidar award from the Hon’ble Governor, Prasun Bandopadhyay Memorial award, Sarbo-bharatiya Sangeet o Sanskriti Parishad and from many other reputed organisations. Guru Anita Mallick

Among the many gems that Kolkata has produced in different field of arts in last few decades, Anita Mallick is certainly one of them. She is an experienced artiste par excellence in the repertoire of Indian classical dance. A Shiromoni award winner and a receiver of much coveted All India Critics Award, Smt. Mallick is also an 'A' grade artist of Doordarshan India, a senior examiner of Rabindrabharati University and National Scholarship selection board. Groomed under Guru Smt. Thankamani Kutty. Smt. Mallick has toured all over India and many foreign countries. As a founder director of SARASWAT she has performed individually and as well as with her troupe in many prestigious festivals, which includes Dover Lane Music Conference, Biswa Banga Sammelan, Uday Shankar Nritya Utsav, India International Centre, International Dance Week, International Trade Fair etc. She is a rare artiste who played the title role in a group theatre and has gained a very favorable impression on her stage acting in the production Jochhona Kumari, which was highly appreciated by not only the audience but also by the critics of the country. As a proficient performer, excellent trainer and an innovative choreographer, Smt. Anita Mallick has indeed traversed a long way and looks forward with the zeal towards many more years of imparting training and performing excellence.

Guru Ashimbandhu Bhattacharjee

Ashimbandhu Bhattacharjee an internationally acclaimed artist of India. A performer, teacher and a choreographer par excellence. Initially trained in Jaipur gharana of Kathak under the able guidance of Pandit Ramgopal Mishra and Shrimati Susmita Mishra. He then learnt the nuances of Luckow gharana from the renowned maestro, Pandit Vijay Shankar and later from the legendary Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj ji.

Ashimbandhu is a Top Grade artist of Doordarshan, an outstanding artist of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).He is also got the fellowship from ministry of culture (govt of India )

He has performed in some of the major festivals in India and abroad. Some of them are Kathak Mahotsav, Sangeet Natak Akademi Dance Festivals, Khajuraho Dance Festival, Konark Dance Festival, kelucharan mahapatra award ceremony festival , Chidambaram Natyanjali , dhauli- Kalinga mahotsav, Mahabharat festival , virasat festival, soorya festival, udyashankar festival and many more.

His visits abroad are on invitation by renowned private organizations and as a cultural delegate of the Govt. of India. Some of the major ones are U.S.A., Japan, U.K., Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Serbia, Italy, Sri Lanka bangladesh

Ashimbandhu has got beautiful choreographic works to his credit. Some of them are Om Shakti, Vasudeva, Ghungroo, Andaz-e-Ghalib, Shikhandini, Hey Purushottom, Pratibimba, Bhoomi Bhashit, Hey Mahamanav. Moonstruck and many more

His organization Upasana Centre for Dance is his fruit of labour, love and passion. Here the students also learn the intricacies of a relationship between guru and shishya. Some of the senior artists and students of Upasana Centre for Dance have blossomed into promising Kathak dancers.

Koushik Mohon Roy Mohonbina

Started learning under Shri Rameswar Das in Hawaiian guitar. Next started learning pure classical slide guitar or Mohanveena under Shri Shibshankar Das, student of Pt. Kushal Das. Right now under Shri Ratan Bharati, student of Pt. Debasish Bhattacharya and also taking talim under Pt. Suraranjan Mukherjee.

Prasenjit Sengupta

His musical journey started with Tabla in Farukabad Gharana, then started to take lessons in Sarod from Ustad Dhyanesh Khan in Maihar Seniya Gharana(son of Ustad Aliakbar Khan).Also took lessons from Ustad Aashish Khan, and specially from Swarasamrat Ustad Aliakbar Khan.Completed M.A. in sarod from Rabindra Bharati University and scored 1st class 1st and won the special gold medal awarded by Hiren Roy Smriti Puroskar,Nirodbaran Memorial Award, Acharya Allauddin Khan music circle medal by Rabindra Bharati University.He was awarded with senior national scholar from Govt. Of India,highest scorer of Sangit Prabhakar of Prayag Sangit Samity Allahabad.Also performed in many prestigious festival in India, like puri beach fest, Andaman nicobar island millennium fest, Basanta utsav Samaroha Kolkata akashbsni, Maihar Allauddin Khan Smriti Sangit Samaroha also performed in many other countries like UK,Germany,Switzerland,Sweden,France,Japan,Bangladesh,Nepal,Malaysia,Austri,etc. A renowned playback musician of Kolkata and played in many films and TV serials like Bombaier bombete,Tintoretor jishu,Royalbengal Rahosya,Hitlist by Sandip Ray, Goyner Baksho by Aparna Sen, Meghe Dhaka Tara by Kamaleswar Mukherjee, and many others like Ami Adu, Egaro, etc. Also a successful lyricist in film like Aro Ekbar.Recently became music director in film Dasein by Shaluk Bhaumik , which has been selected in 9 film festival in all over world , and also won best award in sound design in film Dasein by hollywood motion picture association. Sandip Ghosh

Sandip Ghosh,a talented young upcoming tabla player,was born in a music lovers family of Kolkata.He was initiated in Tabla by his supportive parents at the age of six.He started his career as student under the tutelage of Pt.Gobindo Bose and continued for nine years. Sandip, then came in touch of Pt.Anindo Chatterjee and started his talim under the keensupervision of him till date.

He has specialised himself in the superb style of "Farukhabad" baaj and also gained extensive talim of all other style of playing under the able guidance of Pt.Anindo Chatterjee. Beside his Tabla Gurus, he has got the rare opportunity to have accompaniment guidance from GuruPt. Ajoy Chakrabarty and got mentorship of Vidushi Kaushiki Chakraborty for overall music.

He is such kind of player who is equally adept in "Solo" and “Accompaniment" for "Instruments","Vocal" & "Dance".

He has accompanied several great artists and his enchanting accompaniment gives them a soothing relief as the audience. Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty, Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Pt. TINKU DAS

Born and brought up in Calcutta, His creative passion made him break away from the conventions of his society and after coming out of Rabindra Bharati University, Tinku took to traveling and went all over the country…….from the valleys of Kulu to the Ghats of Varanasi and the temples of Khajuraho…...mosques of Uzbekistan. A rich experience which took him closer to traditional cultures and Contemporary Art in India. Tinku’s works were exhibited, presented and sponsored by I.T.C.Ltd. Godfrey Phillips India Ltd, Indusind Bank ,Oxford Bookstore & Gallery Birla Academy Of Art & Culture , Cymroza Art Gallery,Godrej ,Bajaj Art Gallery, Gallery Aurobindo , Center Art Gallery , Indian High Commission, in Dhaka ,Bishwa Banga Shammelan and many other group shows in INDIA since 1984.  Tinku is a member of ART OF LIVING_founded by Sri Sri Ravi Sankar ji since 1987 musically grown by Pandit Jasraj ji.

Soumyajyoti Ghosh

Soumyajyoti started his musical quest at the age of twelve under the guidance of Pandit Sudip Chatterjee.. Finally he went to Pandit Ronu Majumdar of Maihar Gharana and Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty of Patiyala Gharana to illuminate his musical horizon.As a musician, Soumyajyoti has a unique mix of traditional and innovative skills. Already he has performed around 30 countries with his Flute.. He has played Switzerland Bird's eye Jazz club, Croatia Jazz festival.He is an empanelled Artist of All India Radio and ICCR.

Empanelled artist of All India Radio (Yuvabani) Initially, took Hindustani classical, semi classical as well as Bengali songs training, for the past 12 years, under the guidance of Vidushi Suranjana Bose. Currently taking Hindustani Classical training from Shri Omkar Dadarkar & Semi Classical training from Pandit Anand Gupta. Secured 2nd position in the Pratima Chandra Memorial Award in association with THE DOVERLANE MUSIC CONFERENCE and THE DOVERLANE MUSIC ACADEMY in the year 2019. Secured 1st position in the Sangeet Milon Classical Voice Of India a national level competition in the year 2019. Secured 1st position in semi classical vocal in the Pashchimbanga Rajya Yuva Utsav(Youth Festival) 2019-20. Secured 1st position in Bhajan and Ragprodhan and 2nd position in Nazrulgeeti in Grand Tansen Sangeet Kala Pratiyogita organized by Tansen Sangeet Kala Samaj Bhawanipore in 2015. Secured 1st position in Ragpradhan and 2nd position in Nazrulgeeti in the all India music competition organized by Murari Smriti Sangeet Sammilani in 2016. Born in a musical family. Listener and lover of Hindustani Classical vocal & instrumental music from a very early age. Started formal talim from Vidwan Shri Sandip Ghosh (Kirana Gharana) in the year 2012. Currently pursuing talim for 6 years in the Gwalior Gharana from Shri Omkar Dadarkar (Guru at ITC SRA). Took my talim on tabla from Shri Kingshuk Goswami & Pandit Sanjoy Adhikary. Presently, a learner and performer of Hindustani Classical Vocal. First Position in Hindustani Classical Vocal from Chetla Murari Smriti Sangeet Sammilani (All India Music Competition), in the year 2018. Second Position in 'Nazrulgeeti' category from Nikhil Banga Geetika Music Competition, 2019. First position in Hindustani Classical Vocal from Bharat Sanskriti Utsab (ISO Certified), 2020. Performed in TV Channels like Channel ONE, Ruposhi Bangla, Akash Aath(8), etc.

Started music since childhood as a passion with the guidance of Guru Malavika Kanan, Pdt.Alok Chattopadhyay in classical music (vocal) and transformed it to my profession in the fields of vocal performance, music composition and direction etc. Achieved 2nd position in Hirak Jayanti Varsho festival’1986 in vocal music by West Bengal Government. Finalist and 3rd Runner Up in SAREGAMA at ZEE Bangla in 2001. Participated as Judge in Kolkata Students and Youth Festival (Kolkata District), Kolkata University Cultural Competition, Rajabajar Science College Cultural Competition, Liluah Chhatra Yuva Utsav, Rising Star on Colors TV.

Sounak is a foremost vocalist of the present generation and has made a place for himself in the hearts of many Classical and Bengali Art music lovers. His regular stage performances for prestigious concert stages, in India and abroad, his regular television appearances and his audio albums that have topped charts bear witness to that. Having an exceptional training base with almost 25 years of experience in learning Hindustani Classical music from Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khansahab and Mubarak Ali Khansahab of the Kirana Gharana, semi classical forms from Smt Sanjukta Ghosh, advanced training in Rabindrasangeet (Swagatalakshmi Dasgupta and Pramita Mallick) and other traditional Bengali songs (Atulprasad, Rajanikanta, D.L.Roy, Nazrulgeeti, Puratoni etc), give him a range of performances that not many of his contemporaries have.

Took lessons in classical music from Sree Dhirendra Chandra Das for 12long years. Learning rabindra sangeet from Sree Agnivo Bandopadhay and Pabitra Bandapadhay. Honored 1st class 1st B.Mus from Rabindra Baharati University in 2001. Honored 1st class 1st(Goald Medalist) in M.A in rabindra sangeet from Rabindra Baharati University in 2003. Joined as a music teacher in 2007 in ST.Lawrence School. Participated in show of ETV Bangla called "Sa Theke Sa" and the 1st prize.
